I saw my first chow when I was 13 and I have been hooked ever
since. We have owned Chows for the last 20 years, we have never
wanted any other breed.
Tin Pan Alley is a small kennel located in the beautiful central European
country of Slovenia and is registered with the FCI. Our
chows live with us as members of our family. Vienna is our oldest
chow, she is nearly 12, we bought her from Belgium from the Van Mansjoerije
kennel. Our oldest male is Mark, he's approaching 10, we purchased
him from Norway from the Sihn-Jin Kennel. In December 2001, these
two gave us a beautiful litter of 4 puppies, 2 girls and 2 boys, of which we
kept a girl and a boy, Tin Pan Alley A Chilly Pepper and Tin Pan Alley All That
Jazz. They headed off to a great start in 2002 when Chilly, Jazz and
Vienna attended The World Show in Amsterdam, Jazz won the Puppy Dog Class,
Chilly won the Puppy Bitch class, and Best Puppy in Breed. Later she
won Best Puppy Group Five, and next day we returned to the show and Chilly won
Reserve Best Puppy in Show. Chilly and her other litter brother Al Pacino
are both Europa Ch. 2007. Chilly and Jazz have given us puppies whom you will meet
within this web site along with our young chows that we have bought recently.
They all live with us in the house as members of our family. We have
shown our chows from many years and most have several Championships and
International Champions to their name. It was a great honour for us
when our Slovenian Kennel Club awarded us the "Silver Award" for Chilly's
win at the World Show and our multiple achievements in the show ring.
We
have successfully placed several puppies in other parts of Europe who have also
had great success in the show ring.
In 2005 I organised the 3rd International Chow Congress when it was held
in Slovenia. With the Support of Mona Selbach
(Norway) and Janneke Leunissen-Rooseboom (Holland), The Slovenian Kennel Club,
and the Slovenian Nordic and Spitz Breed Club, we had an eventful weekend,
with speakers from across the globe. We held our first Chow Club
Speciality Show, drawing an entry of 17 chows, this was followed by a 2 day
CACIB show.
I had great pleasure judging
the Chow Chow Club of Denmark club match,
here are photos from the event.
I am an ardent collector of Chow
memorabilia and have made a number of items myself (T-shirts, paintings,
portraits, silk screens, and ceramics etc.) which I will be pleased to show you
on this site, so please take a tour, and drop by often to hear our latest news.
Goga.
